Period: Cube ~Shackles of Amadeus~ Zain Walkthrough Guide

Presenting my third route as I try playing Period: Cube ~Shackles of Amadeus~ for the third time! Zain is describe as a beautiful young man but behind his innocent face lies a kinda twisted route (well in my opinion though *laughs*). Sharing my walkthrough to get Zain's Happy Ending and Merry Bad Ending.


Zain is a NPC (non-playable character) inside Arcadia's Server V. The Heroine found him in a forest after she wakes up one morning. He never wants to leave your side and this in fact was the reason why he'll do anything to be with you until the end.

Why I found his route twisted? Well it's because of his personality as the story progresses plus his Merry Bad Ending. I won't spoil more but be sure to get it to know more about it. Personally, I found this route a bit complicated and got lots of loopholes on the story but well, I still enjoyed it.

Here are the choices I made that leads me to get his Happy Ending. Please do take note that I am blindly playing this game and this post will be updated from time to time as I will also try to get the other endings.

Happy Ending

Choices here will increase Zain's affection level. **Game Choice = Kazuha's Almighty Level. To get Zain's Happy Ending, we need to increase Kazuha's Almighty Level as well. To do this, we need to prevent choosing "Observe" at the Game Choice section once you start his route.

Quest Two / Chapter Two (Start of Zain Route)

• **Game Choice: Play Harp > Scream

Quest Three / Chapter Three

• Then, you should find something.

Quest Four / Chapter Four

• Please be here when I come back.
• **Game Choice: Use knife.
• I'm just glad you're safe.

Quest Five / Chapter Five

• You're special, Zain.
• Poyo-poyo looks hurt.

Quest Six / Chapter Six

• Please don't do anything cruel.
• Do you promise?
• **Game Choice: Play Harp

Quest Seven / Chapter Seven

• I wanted to talk to you.
• There will be a credit video that will play after you finished the route (Happy Ending - Zain).

Bad Ending

You can't clear Zain's route if your affection level is too low. You can't also clear the game when Kazuha's (or your) Almighty Level is too low.

Merry Bad Ending

To get Zain's Merry Bad Ending, you need to satisfy the following condition:

• Kazuha (or 'you') Almighty level to max (6 out of 6) AND;
• Zain's Affection level to 0 out of 10.

You can get this Merry Bad Ending by:

• Going to Quest Seven of Zain's route:
• Title Screen > History > Zain's Route > Chapter/Quest Seven > Select Kazuha's Affection Level to Max > Select Zain's Affection Level to 0.
• Select 'Repeat this Chapter.'
• Select the answer: "I was worried about you."
• There will be a credit video that will play after you finished the route (Merry Bad Ending - Zain).
