Doorzo Japanese Proxy Service: A Step-by-Step Guide
If you follow this blog before the pandemic happened, you might find my posts regarding my hauls from Japan and how I used some proxy services online. Last year, a friend recommended a proxy service, which I immediately tried. To tell you honestly, I am quite addicted to browsing some merch through their app! Today, let me introduce Doorzo - a Japanese proxy service available on multiple platforms such as app stores and can be accessed through their website.
Doorzo is partnered with popular Japanese online shops (over 100 sites), such as Mercari Japan, Rakuten, Lashinbang, Yahoo! Japan, Yahoo! Japan Auctions, Jump Shop, Animate, and many more! Through Doorzo, you can easily find the items you are looking for on Japanese e-commerce platforms. Doorzo offers Japanese purchasing service with direct overseas shipping:
You can view the Japanese online shops that they cater to here. Aside from that, Doorzo offers lots of discount vouchers, promos, and Doorzo points (I will discuss this at the end of this post). For new users, there are exclusive vouchers for you. For users who use Doorzo frequently, there are also new vouchers that we can enjoy every week.
Making an account at Doorzo is pretty straightforward, like you are just making another social media site for yourself. All you have to do is register, fill in your email address and password, request and verify with the verification code, and that's it! You can register here.
Tip: Before anything else, I would like you to head over to your account settings and fill out your address. Be sure to input all correct information, such as your full name (that will match any valid ID), complete address (with correct zip code), and mobile number (with correct country code).

On website, click your profile and look for "Delivery Address" | Via app, click "Account" and click "Manage Addresses" |
Note: Before you browse, let me tell you that Doorzo's payment methods are credit cards and PayPal. And I can't even tell you how delighted I was when I saw that they accepted GCash! It's yen to peso conversion is really fair, plus this is my main online wallet so for me this is such a plus point for shopping at Doorzo.
Now let's go to the homepage. What items do you have in mind? For me, I love the Otome Game Hakuouki so much and my oshi (favorite character) is Sanosuke Harada. Because this Otome Game has been published since 2008 and they don't have much merchandise now compared to the new titles of Otome Games nowadays, shopping at Mercari Japan is one of my best options.
So now, let's shop for some Sanosuke Harada merch!
You can just type at Doorzo's search engine on what item/s are you looking for. It can translate for you as they have a built-in translation but as someone who has shopped at Mercari ever since, using the item's Japanese name gives you better results. Let's type 原田左之助.
Results are now available. Now let's look for affordable items.
Through the Doorzo app, you can view the Mercari seller's info and rating. Be sure to shop carefully as Doorzo cannot cancel an order once placed. After checking the seller's rating, I will be getting these! I really want to have those slanted acrylics. Adding this to my cart:
Once you are done, just add it to your cart, and feel free to browse more. If you are ready to checkout, just click the cart icon and check for your item/s.
Doorzo offers ZERO proxy purchase fees. Meaning, we will just pay for the price listed by the seller. We save around 200-300 yen for it! The ¥200–¥300 fee-free coupons can be stacked with product discounts. You can also choose some options if you want the Doorzo staff to take a picture of your item/s once it arrives at their warehouse for an additional price.
Once it's done, the waiting game officially starts. Mercari sellers usually ship the items within 7 days before they arrive at the Doorzo warehouse. You'll receive a notification once it comes at the warehouse.

I usually choose the "Keep Seller's Original packaging" since most of the items I ordered are not bulky. Just me wanting to keep the mail stamps hehe~ |
If you have more than one item and want to have them shipped in one package, apply them using Doorzo's consolidation service. I have experienced paying a consolidation fee from other proxy sites but with Doorzo, they are free of charge for the first 10 orders! Doorzo will check your items upon consolidation and check if there are items that need to be more secured like fragile items and check for any gadgets with batteries in them.
Once the consolidation process is done, you can now proceed with shipping through your address. At Doorzo, they have different shipping methods available. For me, I always use EMS and I haven't tried other overseas shipping aside from them. I guess I am just confident since my local post office knows me already (they have seen me so many times lol).

The image above is the shipping fee option for my consolidated order. I also availed the adding bubble wrap on fragile items. |
What is Doorzo points?
Doorzo points are points that you can obtain through the Doorzo app. Log in daily and check in to get a point. Read other customers' posts on the app to get points, review the app, and participate in their social media activities can help you gain more points. These points can be used to pay the International Shipping Fee (ISF). 1 point = 1 yen, so the more points you earn, the more discount you can get for your ISF.
Shipping using EMS from Japan to the Philippines takes around 5-7 days, depending on the holidays/weekend. Feel free to use any shipping that you think suits you. I highly suggest doing some research or asking any friends/relatives in your area who have tried shipping using any of these.
After 5 days, my orders are now here! I can't stop smiling while unboxing these! I finally got these amazing slanted acrylic standees of Sanosuke Harada. I also bought some oshikatsu goods from 3coins that can help my merch be protected and look cute at the same time. I was looking for the particular magazine with Yusa Koji in it, but I only spotted these teared pages for sale.

I wish to have more of Sanosuke Harada's acrylic standees (it's on my cart at the moment!)
I don't usually blog stuff like this if I find it inconvenient. I have tried many sites ever since, but I always go back to Doozo because for me, their app/site is straightforward and easy to navigate and they also have the payment method that I usually use. Aside from that, you can earn points by browsing, liking others' haul, and sharing your own haul, too!
If you want more discount coupons, you can type REVERIE on the redeem code for 350 yen discount (for orders 3,500 yen and up).
